HSE launch guide to the Review of Pressure Ulcers and Service User Falls

As part of its on-going commitment to supporting the implementation of the HSE’s Incident Management Framework, the Office of Quality, Risk and Safety, Quality Assurance and Verification Division has developed in partnership with Tissue Viability and Falls Specialists two incident specific review guides. These guides were launched by Dr Colm Henry, Interim Chief Clinical Officer at an event yesterday held in the Trinity Centre, St. James Hospital

These guides were welcomed by Dr Henry and those attending the event as they provide a practical and evidenced based approach to review. They will enable a timely and responsive approach to review which will support service users and families and will enable services to identify learning to inform a targeted approach to improvement.
